• Base services: The default license that ships with NX-OS covers Layer 2 protocols  including such features such as Spanning Tree, virtual LANs (VLANs), Private VLANS,

                         Unidirectional Link Detection (UDLD), and Cisco Trustsec (CTS).

Note

CTS has been moved to base services as of NX-OS 6.1.1.

• DCNM for LAN Enterprise License for one Nexus 7000 Chassis: Enables data center network manager (DCNM) management support on a per chassis basis.

 

• Nexus 7010 Scalable Feature License: Enables XL capabilities and is enabled on a per-chassis basis  

 

• Enhanced Layer 2 License: Enables FabricPath

 

• Nexus 7000 MPLS License: Enables MPLS features, including MPLS forwarding,QoS, L3VPN, 6PE/VPE, and OAM

 

• FCoE License: Enables FCoE features on a per F-Series module basis

 

• Storage License: Enables Inter-VSAN Routing (IVR), fabric binding, and access control for FCoE environments.

 

• DCNM for SAN Advanced Edition for Nexus 7000: Enables DCNM SAN management support on a per-chassis basis

 nexus上的VACL貌似跟以前有点不同,

N5K的统一端口

N5K上的统一端口可以直接配置为以太网,FC,FCoE,默认情况下是以太网端口,但是可以手动修改:

  • Any port on the Cisco Nexus 5548UP switch or the Cisco Nexus 5596UP switch.
  • The ports on the Cisco N55-M16UP expansion module that is installed in a Cisco Nexus 5548P switch.
  • 就是说UP的是接口本身就是统一端口,可以自己修改,P的交换机是加的模块才是统一端口。

You must configure Ethernet ports and FC ports in a specified order:(DC笔试竟然考这个,配置的顺序有讲究)

  • FC ports must be configured from the last port of the module.
  • Ethernet ports must be configured from the first port of the module.

If the order is not followed, the following errors are displayed:

ERROR: Ethernet range starts from first port of the module
ERROR: FC range should end on last port of the module

On a Cisco Nexus 5548UP switch, the 32 ports of the main slot (slot1) are unified ports. The Ethernet ports start from port 1/1 to port 1/32. The FC ports start from port 1/32 backwards to port 1/1.
